The Risen Lord
The Risen Lord
Jesus My Savior Arose From The Dead
He Purchased My Pardon And Did What He Said
His Foes Have Been Vanquished, They Tried And They Failed
The Grave Could Not Hold Him, His Power Prevailed
Because Of The Work That My Savior Has Done
Redemption’s Completed, The Battle Is Won
He’s Preparing A Place At His Table For Me
For Once I Was Blind, But Now I Can See
I’m Thrilled To Belong To This Family Of God
Where Sinners Repent And The Angels Applaud
If There Was Not An Easter, A Cross Or A Grave
The World Would Not Know Of The One Who Can Save
I Rejoice In The Fact That The Price Has Been Paid
I Never Need Doubt Or Be Sad Or Afraid
For My Lord Gave His All When He Died On The Tree
And When He Arose, He Set People Free
So I’m Living By Faith In The Joy Of The Lord
God’s Wonderful Peace Is An Added Reward
The Tomb Has Been Conquered, The Stone’s Rolled Away
The Savior Now Dwells In His Vessels Of Clay
In All Of Earth’s History, There Never Has Been
A Savior Like Jesus Who Saves Us From Sin
He Calls Us To Love Him And Serve Him today
For He Is The Truth And The Life And The Way

Matthew 28:1-5 – Early on Sunday morning, as the new day
was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out
to visit the tomb. Suddenly there was a great earthquake!
for the Angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside
the stone, and sat on it. His face shone like lightning, and his
clothing was white as snow. The guards shook with fear when
they saw him and fell into a deep faint. Then the angel spoke
to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking
for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead,
just as He said would happen. Come see where His body was lying.
And now go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead,
and is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see Him there.
Remember what I have told you.”
